Silk Screen Printing

Stencilling Method for Surface Printing

Silk screen printing is a stencilling method for surface printing. This technique uses a porous fabric or metal mesh laid across a frame called screen to transfer ink or dye onto a substrate. This is a widely used printing method that produces vivid colours. It is also used because it deposits the largest amount of ink onto a surface. Other common printing methods are Letter press, flexographic printing and digital printing.

Applicable for surfaces such as fabric, paper, wood, metal, plastics, glass
